I had to take this picture. Laurel looked so big, so old. I can't believe how much she's changing. She talks so much and has her own sense of humor. She will only play on the big jungle-gym at the park, the baby ice cream isn't enough for her. And unfortunately, she's started cursing. (Didn't think we'd have to deal with that for a while) Luckily, it's not because she's imitating us, so for that I can feel good. She's learned to say the work fire-truck...but she somehow skips the "ire-tr" part of the words. (Get it?) And she says the letters that are left over with perfect clarity. The guys at the fire station thought it was particularly funny as she's pointing the fire truck saying "big "f&%k, daddy f$*k." Nice, huh? What can you do? She's learning, I'm not about to tell her not to say something that she thinks is right. I'll just listen and nod and quietly giggle in my head if we're at home, and be silently mortified if we're in public.

I've let time slip away again. It's usually related to misplacing the camera. This time we found it in the car. But in our defense we found it in time for Easter events.
Laurel's cousin Jessie came in town for Easter. Unfortunately she wasn't able to stay long, which led to several days of Laurel asking "Where Jessie go?" But at least they were able to have fun while she was here. We dyed eggs, made Easter cookies and even had an Easter egg hunt in the front yard. (Jessie found them a little faster then Laurel and had to keep donating eggs back to the cause) But she was a great sport about it.
